Hyperhydrosis
Excessive sweating of the hands, feet or
under the arms is a medical condition called hyperhidrosis.
Many people struggle with this daily, leading to difficulties
at work, in social situations, and even in everyday activities
such as reading the mail or writing a letter. A simple handshake
can be an anxiety provoking experience for patients
with this condition. While many treatments are available
most are expensive, some are painful, and few are effective.
However, we offer a technique that uniquely cures the condition
of palmar (hand) hyperhidrosis in 97% of the cases. ETS,
or endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy, is a brief surgical
procedure done through a single
one centimeter incision under each arm while the patient
sleeps. The nerve responsible for this condition is identified
and divided, resulting in immediate
cure. Patients are able to go home the same day with
completely dry hands. Our patients have been thrilled with
the results and even more so to know that the treatment is
covered by most insurance plans. Call us for a free consultation;
we have the largest experience in Wisconsin with this technique.
